Alette, there is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you, miss your beautiful smile and friendship we shared. Love you my friend.

Sure miss you my sweet friend. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you. Even yesterday I was getting my hair done and was remembering when Alette would do my hair and we would drink wine. It was great fun. Miss her big beautiful smile that she would share with the world. I will never forget all our good times we shared and the memories I have to cherish always! We shared trips to dance competitions and to the State Fair in Syracuse when our daughters would be performing great times, and of course the wine tent. I miss having her to talk too, she would always make me feel better. Hope all is well with Julie, Ondrea and Jon. I will never forget you my friend. Alette our friendship will live on forever. Love you BFF

My Beautiful Friend Alette,

I met you for the first time when I worked for Real Estate Closing Services. I was delivering a package and you introduced me to Jon. He said oh yeah youre Mercedes right? You told him no its Miranda and she isnt a car!

The things you used to say that I will miss the most

Sorry not sorry
They just put down in your Mrs Doubtfire voice
Its getting hot in here so take off all your clothes from the song by Nelly in your indian voice impression
I cant want to (that came from Maison)
We dont say shut up
Is it nap time?
Thats my ride when a truck would honk their horn outside while we were at work.
I think you need a DRINK
I dont wish it
Oh Jon!
She goes to that church
"Let me get your nurse"

Some of my favorite memories

You used to have Jon buy you popcorn from the store down the street. You would eat all the yellow ones out of the bag then offer the rest to us!

The color run in Binghamton that I talked you into and the amount of times you stopped to pee.lol.

The four of us went to Rochester to see Shinedown and then ride home. OMG!

The Syracuse football game the four of us went to. You and I spent most of the time talking about life while the guys had a good time.

Going to get our notary certification together. We were late and the proctor almost didnt let us in. You gave him some excuse for why we were late.

The wine fest that became an annual event we did together. We always worked half day then rode together to Watkins Glen. The most fun was the year we dressed up as Flinstones. You were Wilma, Jon was Fred, Travis was Barney and I was Betty.

You made me chocolate covered bananas for my birthday because you knew they were my favorite.

Listening to your stories about the girls (Julie and Ondrea) when they were little. You were always so proud of them!

Trips to the beauty supply store during our lunch or shoe shopping even though Jon never gave us the credit card.

The pink concert with Lizzy and your sister Cathy. What an amazing experience!

The advice you would give me about the crazy things that would happen in my life. You always knew what to say.

Telling me the funny things that happened over the weekend at the shore or on one of your trips so I could pick on Jon.

The interesting names that people would mistake us for. Alert, Aleet, Arlene, Arlot and trying to see who would have the funniest name. I think that might be how I got my name Mirna.

Our healthy eating habits and picking on anyone that ate a cookie (JON)!

Our walks around Ithaca to get some exercise at lunch.

You laughing so hard at Travis with his impression of Arnold Schwarzenegger. The You Tube video of the famous quotes you two watched for what seemed like an hour by the campfire.

When you would buy a new pair of shoes or clothing but you didnt try it in the store. When you got home it didnt fit so you would bring it to me.

The things I will miss

EVERYTHING

Your singing! You always knew how to make me laugh by singing random songs or ones you made up.

Your beautiful smile, your nails with the crazy colors and cant forget the party nail, that blonde hair and the times you made me cut it with scissors in the office

Sharing stories with you about my boys. You always wanted to know what was going on with them.

Your personality, your sarcasm, your jokes, your wittiness, just everything..

In the eight years of spending every week day with you its become more than just a friendship. Youve become my family. Youve been like a mom to me but at the same time my best friend.

I remember the text message in middle of the night from Jon when you found out about the tumor and how scared I was for you. After that first surgery I thought you were super woman when you showed up at work two weeks later. Since you found out about the cancer you have been the strongest person in the world. Anytime anyone asked me how you were I just simply said you were amazing. You have gone through so much in the past two years, more than most people in a lifetime. You have put up an amazing fight. I love you so much and will never forget all the great times we shared.

Your Forever Friend,

Miranda

I first met Alette through my husband at a local restaurant many years ago and we hit it off. She has the most beautiful smile and always made you or anyone laugh, could also make you feel better about yourself. She also had the greatest come backs for sure. Very quick! Also my hairdresser too! Alette was beautiful inside and out.

A short time later we found out that our daughters Jennifer and Julie were at the same dance studio. As time went on our daughters became friends and of course Julie went to school with my son Jay. Julie was a cheerleader when my son played football and also came to his hockey games. Alette did not know too much about Hockey but she was a fast learner. One time as my son Jay (big game) on the ice he was on a break away with the puck heading down the ice, to the goalie, very fast skater past the defense men, I don't even know how he scored. Alette turned and looked at me and said, boy after all that good thing he scored. But you had to be there to see the look on Alette's face!

The girls would travel on dance trips and sometimes we would go. The best times were at Syracuse New York the State Fair. Our daughters danced for many years there and of course out of town as well. Florida, Las Vegas, Boston, New York, etc. At the fair Alette and I would get wine slushes they were great and what fun! Sometimes too many!

I was having a rough time in my life and Alette was there for me. She was my date once for a office Christmas Party, best TIME ever! I sure miss her and after our daughters grew up we drifted apart. Alette was and always will be one of my best friends. I have many great stories/memories that I would run out of room. Her smile lite up any room. Reading all those stories about her and seeing all her nice photos she will be making all those stars in heaven shine even more. Sure miss you BFF. Patti Giordano

Alette was a beautiful soul with an infectious laugh, smart remarks and a heart made of gold. She lived her life to the fullest and shared a lot of love and laughter with everybody who knew her. She has left her imprint in the lives of all of us that she made laugh. She was an amazing, beautiful caring friend and co-worker. Alette, you will never be forgotten.

It has been my honor and pleasure to know Alette. If you were having a bad time or day she would always make you feel better with her sense of humor and humility that only she could provide. My deepest sympathy go out to her husband, children and family. Everyone will miss this lady. I will remember her always. May she fly with the angels.

Alette was a wonderfully funny lady who immediately brightened a room with her presence. I'm so thankful that our paths crossed in this life. I imagine she and Steve are trading one-liners in Heaven right now. To Jon and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you. I hope that your pain will ease with time.

Alette was always a good time at the beach. Bill and I will always remember "the notebook" around our circle of friends. There were always good laughs that were recorded in this notebook and by everyone there. All quotes were always read by Alette with great humor and sarcasm. Alette's good sense of humor well be remembered by all. We can only think that Sundays in summer will never be the same again without her smiling face. It was a pleasure and privilege to know this beautiful person.

Alette was one of the few that could tell it to you straight while making you laugh at the same time. Her sense of humor, quick wits and loving character are a true inspiration and something everyone should strive to achieve. All of the people around her became better for just being in the same room. Alette made the holidays exciting and something as simple as a long boring drive unforgettable. She left an imprint that will never be forgotten and I am truly lucky to have been a part of her life. I will miss you but remember that your spirit carries on.

Dear Jon, Ondrea and Julie

We send our sincere condolences to you and all of you family and friends in this toughest of times. You are all in our hearts.

We first met Alette twelve years ago for five minutes on a Caribbean cruise. We were instantly drawn to her beautiful smile, infectious laughter, knock-you-off-your-feet wit and crazy sense of fun and adventure. From that brief meeting, we became best friends, partners in crime and travel buddies. Every trip, whether a hike along Georgian Bay, sailing through the Caribbean, weekends at the beach or just hanging out was made that much more exciting and memorable because of Alette. Her zest for life, her beauty both inside and out and our memories of her will always be with us.

We love you Alette, and miss you lots.

Alette was truly one of a kind. She loved to make people laugh, and that she did! Her endless wit and sarcasm could keep you laughing for hours. No matter how bad of a day you were having , you knew you would always feel better just being around her. She was special.
We have cried a lot this past week at losing our good friend and a truly wonderful person. However I know Alette would really want us to remember her with a smile and not with tears.
We will always love and miss you Alette, as you have stolen a piece of our hearts forever.

Gene and I always looked forward to trips with our mutual friends Lisa and Rodney, but most especially when Jon and Alette were joining the group. Alette was so full of life, so irreverently funny I always knew I would laugh until I peed my pants at least once when Jon and Alette were with us. And it was always over the dumbest little thing that Alette could find a hilarious (usually twisted) perspective. I loved that about her. And I loved that through her long battle with cancer she kept that sense of humor. The last time I spoke with her was just weeks before she passed and she was still making me laugh. What an awesome gift to always be able to see the humor in everything and to make the people around you laugh out loud. Some people touch your life in such a special way, whether you know them for a minute or for many years. Alette was one of those people and we will miss her.

Dear Jon and family,

We send our deepest condolences . Alette's illness and her treatment often seemed to us more than an individual could endure. Yet her courage and perseverance to do what she needed to do, despite the obstacles, along with her spirit are testimonies to who she was. In addition, she had you as her devoted co-pilot. And that in itself is an amazing part of your love story. You remain in our thoughts and prayers.

I am a firm believer that as you grow older you enrich your life by continuing to meet new friends and share new experiences. Jon and Alette are such friends. Alette was the comedian and Jon the straight man. The stories and anicdotes will live in our hearts and minds forever. She could extract humor from the tiniest morsel or defuse an awkward or escalating situation with one quip. The world need more like her. You will be so missed Lettie.

WOW!!!!! I am so overwhelmed reading these tributes to Alette. I can only hope and pray I have had an ounce of this much impact on the people who have come into my life. I am honored to be pictured with this incredible lady. I am so blessed to have been her friend. She is as beautiful inside as she is on the outside. I have this gigantic hole in my heart that will never be filled, so I can NOT imagine, how her family must feel. Take solace in knowing, how lucky you are to have had her in your life, which I know makes this all the more hard. She had this amazing ability to inject so much humor into what would otherwise be one of life's mundane details. I will never look at something as simple as a "wheelbarrow", ever again, without thinking about Alette. Letty, my friend, you are truly the sister I wish I would've had!!!! I will think about you every day, and fondly remember every moment I spent with you over the 6 short years I have known you! Words can't adequately explain the joy you have brought to so many. The world is a darker place, but the heavens so much brighter! I LOVE you my friend!!!!
