Marie Sampson Obituary
Marie Marion Sampson, age 68, of Fox Lane, Union Springs, NY passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 at her home.
Born November 4, 1947 in Cortland, NY she was the daughter of the late Russell and Doris Carpenter Marion. She was a Nurse's Aide at Cortland Regional Medical Center prior to her retirement.
Marie is survived by her husband, David V. Sampson; her children, Patrick Sampson of Tokyo, Japan, Joseph (Sarah) Sampson of Ohio, Hope (Jason) Kiley of Dryden, NY and Jacob (Jenn) Sampson of Maryland; 16 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and 1 great grandchild on the way; siblings, Eleanor (Harold) Mahony of Long Island, Robert (Kay) Marion of Ithaca and Ronald Marion of Cortland; several nieces and nephews.
At Marie's request there will be no formal services. An informal gathering for family and friends will be held in the Dryden Veteran's Memorial Home, Route 13, Dryden, NY on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 3-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society, Western & Central NY Chapter, www.lls.org/western-central-new-york or 4043 Maple Road, Suite 105, Amherst, NY 14226. www.perkinsfuneralhome.com

To Marie's family so very sorry to read of Marie's passing. I have fond memories of going to the house on Union Street. We got together quite a bit and had a lot of fun. Sending heartfelt prayersfor healing and comfort.
