Debra Slocum Obituary

LANCASTER, S.C. - Debra Rollins Slocum, 64, of Lancaster, passed away Feb. 25, 2024.

A native of Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late George William Rollins and is survived by her mother, Betty Rollins of Lancaster.

Debra was a former employee of Springs Industries' Grace Plant, where she worked in the sewing room. She later was a self-employed housekeeper. She was a longtime member of Crestview Baptist Church, and absolutely loved the beach with her toes in the sand.

Survivors in addition to her mother are a daughter and son-in-law, Jessica S. and Ryan Robinson of Holly Ridge, N.C.; grandchildren, Jayden Adams and Anna Belle Robinson of Holly Ridge; and a sister, Brenda Rollins Lee and husband Larry of Sumter, S.C. She was a very special aunt to all of her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Donnie and William Buddy Rollins; and a granddaughter, Isabella Robinson.

A memorial service will be conducted by Pastor Cody Honeycutt at noon Saturday March 2, at Crestview Baptist Church, 2228 Douglas Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the church.

A Simple Service Burial and Cremation is serving the family.
