Carroll Kingman Obituary

Restaurant OwnerLAKE ALFRED -- Mr. Carroll Kingman of Lake Alfred died of heart failure Tuesday (Feb. 28, 2006) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He was 81.Born on Dec. 24, 1924, in Danvers, Mass., he came to Lake Alfred from Ipswich, Mass., 26 years ago. He was a longtime owner of the Ipswich House restaurant. He was a Navy veteran. He was a member of Inwood Baptist Church in Winter Haven.Mr. Kingman is survived by his wife, Helen Kingman; sons, Dan Kingman, Freemont, Calif., Mike Kingman, Winter Haven; daughter, Susan Scherer, Ipswich, Linda Nekoroski, Sunapee, N.H.; brothers, Frederick Kingman, New Orleans, Harry Kingman, Alfred, Maine; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 this evening at Kersey Funeral Home, Auburndale. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
