O'SHIELDS, 80

WINTER HAVEN - Mr. Charles C. O'Shields, age 80, a resident of Winter Haven, passed away Sun. 5/29/11 at LRMC due to heart failure.
Mr. O'Shields was born 9/22/30 in Atlanta, GA. to Carlos & Tillie Mae (Campbell) O'Shields. He was a Polk Co. resident since 1956, retired from Suburban Propane and was of the Pentecostal faith. He also volunteered for the National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and 3 brothers. Charles is survived by his wife of 58 years: Josephine O'Shields of Winter Haven; 2 daughters: Patsy Lester, & Peggy O'Shields both of Winter Haven; brother Harold (Linda) O'Shields of Senoia, GA; 3 sisters-in-law: Nell, Edna & Betty; 2 granddaughters: Rebecca Childress of Eagle Lake & Rachel (Brady) Herstine of Winter Haven; 5 great grandchildren: Brandon, Meghan, Tiffany, Daisy & Jacob.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Sat. June 4th at the Kersey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park. Visitation will be held before from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
