GAINES, Sr., 37
FT. LAUDERDALE - Dante S. Gaines, Sr. 37, of 2790 Somerset Drive, Ft. Lauderdale, Fl died on July 12, 2008 in Ft. Lauderdale. The cause of death was heart failure.
He was a native of the Winter Haven area, a construction laborer by trade and a member of the True Gospel Deliverance Church in Ft. Laud-erdale.
His survivors include his mother & father, Peggy Shelton & Charles Arnold, Ft Lauderdale, Fl; his children: Stephanie Pope, Winter Haven, Fl, Philyuna Gaines, Briah Gaines, Dante Gaines. Jr. & De'onte Gaines, all of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; his siblings, Marley Bryant, Ft Lauderdale, FL, Vivian Hall, Debbie Hall, Nicole Hall, Carmeta Faniel & James Hall, all of Winter Haven, FL; his companion, Tina Brown, Ft. Lauderdale; his nieces & nephews, Nakita Felder, Marvetta Nelson, Jovante' Hill Sr., Jeffrey Felder, Arkim Hall & Jovante Hill Jr.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 18, 2008 from 6 till 8 pm at the Williams Temple CME Church on Quentin Ave NW in Winter Haven. Funeral services will be held on Sat, July 19, 2008 at 2:30pm at True Holiness Tabernacle, 900 Ave. O N.E., Winter Haven.

Growing up on Broxey Ct was an amazing experience.. The friendship we shared as kids was something wonderful. As I sat in the service on Saturday, my tears turned into a smile as I traveled down memory lane of our childhood.

To the Family of Dante,
You have my deepest and heartfelt sympathies!! Dante was so sweet and funny when we were in school, I can remember the days of old, walking through Da' Villa, just cutting up and having fun. Mourn not for him, no more suffering, no more tears of sorrow, no more heartache and pain, no more, IT'S OVER NOW!!! We will see him on the other side. He will be missed!!!
