Fred Ard Obituary

FRED ARD, 88 Ard's Awning WINTER HAVEN - Mr. Fred Ard, 88, of Winter Haven, died Monday, March 26th, 2007 at his home due to cancer. Born Dec. 18th, 1918 in Bristol, FL, he moved to Winter Haven in 1946 from Reddick, FL. He owned and operated Ard's Awning in Winter Haven. Mr. Ard is a U.S. Navy Veteran, member of VFW, Faith Baptist Church in Winter Haven, and a Kentucky Colonel. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and he loved his family and friends. Survived by his wife of 62 yrs, Pauline, two sons, David and Randy, one daughter, Pat Cole, all of Winter Haven, one sister, Nora Whittington of Micanopy, FL, 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday between 10-11 am at Faith Baptist Church, Winter Haven, with the funeral service to follow at 11 am. Interment at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Faith Baptist Church Building Fund., 2140 Crystal Beach Rd., Winter Haven, FL 33880.

Ms. Pauline and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Fred's passing. I will be unable to get off from work, but please know I will be there in my heart.
I will let papa know (he lives with Dotty in Clearwater).
He was SUPER. I have a lot of warm memories.
