Pharmacist
LAKELAND - Our beloved husband, father and brother Mark Spector passed away on September 21st, 2010. The cause of death was cancer.
Services were held at Oak Hill Cemetery on Sept. 24th. Born in Philadelphia, Mark moved to Lakeland in 1958 and lived there at the time of his passing. After graduating from Lakeland High, he attended Florida Southern College then graduated from the University of Florida School of Pharmacy in 1964. Mark was a pharmacist for over forty years and former Director of Pharmacy at South Florida Baptist Hospital. He excelled at motorcycle racing before becoming an avid bicycle rider. Mark enjoyed cycling trips with friends and was a member of the Ridge Riders Mountain Bike Assoc. Most of all he was a devoted husband and father.
Mark is survived by his wife Sara, brother Mike, son Sam Spector, daughters Lisa Spector, Tova Spector, Anna Bernal Spector and Amy Corrigan, six grandchildren and cherished cousin Sidney Schneps.

To The Family of Mark Spector,
It was with great sadnes that I learned of Mark's passing thru the Gatorx magazine. I was a roomate of Mark's at Graham hall UF and a fellow student at the pharmacy school. Mark was smart,kind,humorous and good person. Sincerely,

Dear Sara Spector, I am sorry to see that your husband passed away. I met you and your husband in your home approximately 6 weeks ago, while visiting on behalf of Comfort Keepers, to make sure you were pleased with our services, etc. I was on vacation for 2 weeks beginning 9/20, and am just today learing of Mr. Spector's passing.
