911 Dispatcher
LAKELAND - Meredith Lanelle Corley Hubbard of Lakeland and South Pittsburg, TN, was born October 1, 1952 in Lubbock, TX. On February 11, 2012, she lost her battle with pancreatic cancer.
Meredith was employed by the City of Lakeland, Police Department as an Emergency Communications Specialist from 1995 to 2010.
Meredith is preceded in death by her mother Ruby Inez Robinson Corley, father Jessie Marion Corley, brother Mark Randall Corley, and all four of her grandparents. She leaves on this Earth her loving daughter Ginger Helms, son-in-law Robert Helms and her lovely grand-daughter, Nycollette, maternal aunt Ina Robinson Phares of Lubbock TX; paternal aunt Idahlia Corley of Midwest City, OK.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to Amedysis Hospice of Monteagle, TN; Moffitt Cancer Center of Tampa Florida or the American Cancer Society for Pancreatic Research.

I honestly believe that God guides people through life, making sure they touch the people who need them the most. I thank god for having been one of the people God lead Meredith to meet. I know I am a better person for having my brief time with her. She was so strong and brave. She will be missed by so many of her friends and family. My heart goes out to Ginger, Nycollette and Rob. You will be in my prayers.

My condolences to Gineger and family.I'm one of the full time firemen who work code 11 part time at the fire dispatch console in the comm. center. I enjoyed working with Meredith and Ginger many times over the years at the ( Lakeland Police Department 911 Communication Center )and feel lucky to have worked with such a nice mother an daughter while they were there. We will never really know how many lives Meredith and Ginger have really helped save or saved by doing what they did so well and that's 911 dispatching! So many need our help during an emergency and call 911. That person on the 911 side may be the only and very vital link to the patient or victim surviving or not. To Meredith,Ginger and all 911 dispatcher's you are highly commended as public servant's for what you have done and or do 24/7.You can be assured if there is a need for any 911 dispatcher's in heaven you can count on Meredith leading the list to help any who may need it.Our thought's and prayer's are with Meredith, Ginger and Family.

Mom I miss you so much already. I don't know how I will function without talking to and seeing you every day. I find comfort in knowing you are in heaven with your other loved ones and healthy again. I love you more!
