Dear Patrick, 2020 is here. Your some of your favorite things to celebrate each New Year's Day have been football, football and more football while kicking up your feet in your favorite recliner, and I must say, sometimes jumping out of your recliner. The Happy New Year's phone calls you made to many friends and relatives wishing everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR were such a joy to receive. Enjoying the calls you received from your friends wishing you a Happy New Year always lit up your face and gave you a smile. A good memory you left with us all. Football, chips, dips and grilling out, making New Year's resolutions, friends and family togetherness were always some of your favorite things. The most favorite for you was to share smiles and hugs with your precious daughter and making her face light up with your favorite Daddy jokes. I love you and miss you. Thank you for the memories, my SONSHINE. MOM

The very first friend that l had was Patrick at Medulla Elementary. (1979) Even though we grew apart from time to time. We always found ourselves back in each other's company. We would talk for hours, as if we never missed a beat. I was flattered to meet his soon to be wife Katie and his wonderful daughter Mattie Sue in Lake Charles. We Munched on a huge can of cocktail peanuts and BBQ chicken. Ever since that day, I would think of Pat, everytime I would stroll down the isle with peanuts. My occupation aloud Pat and I to talk during odd hours. At times he would call me asking,"How do I get arround this traffic." I would guide him to his destination while catching up on each other's lives. One time in Texas (around Orange) he called me for directions going to Lufkin area. I-10 was closed in Beaumont. I sent him through the back roads going North. He then said,"This area reminds me of Florida." I told him,"l thought the same thing when I drove through there." I'm going to miss our long conversations and company. I will still talk to Pat and never forget the 40 years we shared. My deepest condolences to all of his family.

Katie,
All of us at Rodys were so saddened and devastated to hear the news of Patricks passing. We only knew you guys for a relatively short time, but the minute Patrick arrived he made an impact on all of us and all of the staff. He was so enthusiastic, fun and generous. Patrick was quickly a friend to all! We are so very sorry, Katie, for this great loss. May you all find peace and comfort in the days, weeks and years ahead as you travel on this journey without you husband and friend. We are here for you, and we care. Our deepest sympathy to you, Katie and all of the family. Patrick will truly be missed.
