ARNALL, 76

FRANKLIN, GA. - Mr. Robert W. "Bob Rawls" Arnall, age 76, of Franklin, GA., passed away of heart failure following two years of battling a serious illness, at his home on April 7, 2010.
Funeral services for Mr. Arnall were conducted April 10, 2010 at 2 p.m. from the Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Mark Williams officiating. Mrs. Donna Widner Gaugh, Mr. Arnall's sister-in-law offered words from her experiences with her sister Betty Jo and (Bob) Mr. Arnall. Music was provided by Reverend and Mrs. George Daves.
Those serving as pallbearers were members of the Heard County Sheriff's Department and the LaGrange City Police Department. Four soldiers served as Honor Guard; folding the flag, standing guard and playing TAPS for the service. The internment followed in the Centralhatchee First Baptist Cemetery.
Mr. Arnall was born in Jacksonville, FL. on Feb. 16, 1934, the son of the late Virgil Rawls and Madeline Renolds Rawls Arnall (beloved son of Paul Frank Arnall in 1973).
Mr. Arnall served his country gallantly during the Korean Conflict, as a Marine. For his gallantry, he received the Good Conduct Award.
He was a member of the Centralhatchee Baptist Church. Mr. Arnall worked as a law enforcement officer for both the Heard County Sheriff's Department and most recently the LaGrange City Police Department. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends and co workers.
His is survived by his daughter Sandra Scruggs (Thomas) of Lakeland, FL, and Peri Lynn Baker of Newnan, GA, and one son Robert "Bobby" Arnall, also of Newnan, GA; one sister Jane Woerman of Jacksonville, FL; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; also one sister-in-law Donna Widner Gaugh, Eaton Park, FL.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife (Oct. 2000), Elizabeth Joan "Betty Jo" Widner Arnall.
Tom Stutts and Sons Funeral Home of Franklin, GA. was in charge of arrangements.

I have only the fondest memories of Bob and the whole fanily. He worked for my dad Henry McDonald, for many years. Bob and your mom always treated me like one of their own and I spent many happy times playing with you kids and spending the night at your house. I'll always love and miss you guys.
