HOTALING, 88

LAKELAND - Ruth Clara Hotaling, 88, died on her birthday, September 6, 2011 at Carpenter's Manor due to heart failure. Mrs. Hotaling was born September 6, 1923 in Filmore, NY and moved to Lakeland from Bradford, NY in 1972. She was a Nurse and attended the Methodist Church, she was also a 45 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Mrs. Hotaling was preceded in death by her husband Willard "Bill" Hotaling and son Terry Hotaling. Mrs. Hotaling is survived by her son Dean Hotaling (Jeanne) of Astatula, Fl. and daughter with whom she made her home, Kathryn "Kay" Briggs (David) of Lakeland. Also surviving are 7 grand children and 7 great grand children.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 10, 2011 from 12:30 PM to 2 PM with funeral services to follow at 2 PM in the chapel of Lakeland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Physical Therapy Department of the Estates of Carpenters.
