Scott Bozeman Obituary

United Methodist MinisterLAKELAND -- The Rev. W. Scott Bozeman of Lakeland died of cancer Friday (April 15, 2005) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He was 86.Born in Live Oak on June 1, 1918, he came to Lakeland from Leesburg 20 years ago. He was a minister for the United Methodist Church for 47 years and a member of the Florida Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. He received his bachelor of arts from Florida Southern College and master of divinity from Candler School of Theology. He received his doctor of divinity from Florida Southern College. He served as a trustee for Florida Southern College and Bethune-Cookman College.The Rev. Bozeman is survived by his wife, Phyllis W. Bozeman; daughter, Blake Roberts, West Palm Beach; sons, Wilson Scott Bozeman, James Charles Bozeman, both of Lakeland; sisters, Jeanette Mattox, Live Oak, Betty Willis, Jacksonville; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Heath Funeral Chapel. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church sanctuary.
