Jacinta Vega Obituary

Pharr - Jacinta "Chinta" De Leon Vega, 83, entered eternal rest Thursday, November 25, 2021, at San Juan Nursing Home.

Ms. Vega was a lifelong resident of Pharr and a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Chinta was a loving mother, caring grandmother, and friend to everyone she had a conversation with.

She is preceded in death by an infant son, Daniel Vega; her parents, Jose Angel and Martha De Leon; and two brothers, Eramso De Leon and Feliciano De Leon.

Jacinta is survived by four children, Cynthia (Rick) Rebollozo, Daniel (Edna) Vega, Rolando (Dianna) Vega, Aurelio (Sandy) Vega Jr.; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a brother, Merardo De Leon; and two sisters, Eva Cancino and Gloria Palacios.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 2, 2021, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
