JOSE SANTOS "CHORI" NAVARRO Sr.

JOSE SANTOS "CHORI" NAVARRO, SR. Mission – Jose Santos "Chori" Navarro, Sr., 89, passed away at Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission on July 11, 2013. He was an Army Veteran who served in WWII, after returning from the war, he was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture at Moorefield. Later he was employed at Mission Feed and Seed. He was happiest when he was playing with his grandchildren. He was also a New York Yankees fan. He was preceded in death by his wife Maria P. Navarro; daughter Rosa N. Farias; by his parents and as well as by his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his sister Rafaela N. Alaniz; children Rebecca (Mario) Salazar, Pilar Navarro, Alicia Galvan, Matias (Maria) Navarro, Mauricio Navarro, Irene Jackson, Victoria Navarro, Patricia Navarro, and Joe Navarro. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2013, from 1-9pm with a 7pm rosary, at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral mass will be held Monday, July 15, 2013, at 10:00am, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Mission. Burial will follow at Garden of Angels Cemetery in Abram.
