JOSE QUINTERO Obituary
PHARR - Jose Luz Quintero,82, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday June 19, 2011 at Retama Manor, McAlen, Texas. Retired from Highway Pipeline as a driver, Edinburg, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents Francisco and Francisca and six brothers: Benancio, Santana, Francisco, Hilario, Celestino and Reyes. He is survived by his wife Elva H. Quintero, four sons: Jose Luis R. Quintero, Alamo, Ruben Quintero, San Juan, Jesus Quintero, Pharr, Jose Quintero, Plano, and his daughter Dora Q. Gonzalez, Pharr, thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brother Gabriel Quintero; three sisters: Aurora Moya, Amelia Flores, and Elva Reyna. Pallbarers will be his sons Jose Luis Quintero, Ruben Quintero, Jesus Quintero, Jose Quintero, his grandsons Victor Jose Resendez and Vicente Paul Resendez. Visitation will be on Wednesday June 22, 2011 from 1 to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 pm at DeLeon Funeral Home in Pharr. A memorial mass will be held on Thursday June 23, 2011 at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Pharr, Texas. Interment to follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
