MANUEL B. SOLIS MISSION - Manuel B. Solis passed away on Wednesday the 23rd March 2016 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen surrounded by his adoring family. He was born in Mission, Texas on June the 5th 1924 to Santiago and Maria Ursula Solis. Manuel proudly served his country in the US Army during World War II. He was retired from the United Stated Department of Agriculture. He is preceded in death by his parents, and children, Manuel Solis, Jr., Rosario Idalia Solis and baby boy Morin and baby girl Morin. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 62 years, Concepcion M. Solis and children: Irma R. Solis of Mission, Jorge Solis of Edinburg, and Mari Morin (Ralph) of Edinburg; and a grandson, Nathan Solis. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation between the hours of five and nine o'clock in the evening on Monday, March 28th 2016 in the main chapel of Flores Funeral Home, 219 S. Mayberry Rd., in Mission. The rosary will be prayed at seven o'clock. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 29th 2016 at two o'clock in the afternoon at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission with Father Roy Snipes serving as celebrant. The interment will follow in Catholic Cemetery in Mission with full Military Honors under the auspices of V.F.W. Post 8788 of McAllen. The family is in the care of Flores Funeral Home of Mission.
