Dear Irma and Family Members:
I am very sorry for your loss. Mrs. Lucy Vallejo had mentioned a few months ago that Romeo was ill and receiving services in a hospice program. We worked together at "Edinburg Rehabilitation Center" back in the early 60s. To all of us he appeared calm, sincere, direct, and personable in his relations with many of us who worked along side of him. I liked his listening skills. He would pay attention to anyone who needed to talk to him.
My family will pray for him and for you and your loved ones as you go through this difficult time in your lives.
May the Lord bless your family.

Dear Mary & family of Romeo,

We were saddened to learn of Romeo's recent passing. I was privileged to know him throughout my youth and adult years while living in Edinburg. During these many years of my acquaintance with him, he was always a kind and joyful person who treated everyone with respect. In spite of the many professional, official and community positions he held in the city of Edinburg and Hidalgo County, he was always gracious and readily available to listen to his constituents and render advice or support to their concerns.

Our prayers, condolences and sympathies are with you and your family during this difficult of times. May he rest in everlasting peace in the House of Our Lord.

Rest in Peace, Tio... I'll always cherish the memories of going to your house with my family and how you and Tia Mary were always so nice to us and would let us enjoy the pool. I'm sorry you had to suffer with the illnesses, but now you can rest and be free. You will be missed.
