Christopher R. Baxter

1970 - 2023

Christopher R. Baxter; age 53 of Shepherd passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023 unexpectedly at his home. Chris was born February 17, 1970 the son of Bob and Sue (Lott) Baxter. He enjoyed antiques, particularly collecting his old records and record players. He was often seen wearing fun Hawaiian shirts. Chris had a good sense of humor and enjoyed a good thunderstorm. He served honorably in Desert Storm. He married Cyndi Kaszuba in 1997. He enjoyed taking family trips to Mackinaw City. He was very family oriented and was a good husband, father, brother, son and friend. He was always willing to help out others. Chris is survived by his wife Cyndi; 2 sons Nolan (Keghan Jensen) Baxter of Blanchard and Levi Baxter of Shepherd; parents Bob and Sue Baxter of Blanchard; siblings Jennifer Baxter of Kentwood, Katrina (Keith) Hunt of Edmore, and Joshua (Rowan) Baxter of Denver; special friend Matthew Storey; and several nieces, nephews, in-laws, and extended family. Cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service Monday, August 7 at 4 p.m. at Berry Funeral Home with Dave Shephard officiating. There will be visitation from 3 p.m. until time of service.
