Marvis Marshall Obituary

Marshall, Marvis Loreen; age 83; of Shepherd; passed peacefully at her home on Wednesday morning June 25, 2014. Marvis was born August 1, 1930 in Coe to Ray and Blanche (Crawford) Leonard. She enjoyed camping and fishing at her son’s lake, watching the Tigers, reading a good book, and watching her birds. Marvis is survived by her sons, Gary (Sue) Marshall of Farwell, Steve Marshall of Shepherd, Martin (Kathy) Marshall of Palo, David (Deb) Marshall of Shepherd, Andy (Paula Dean) Marshall of Okemos, Matt (Kimmy Johnson) Marshall of Vestaburg; and one daughter, Joanne (Norman) Curtiss of Mt. Pleasant; a son-in-law, David Boge of Shepherd; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren; also surviving are two, brothers, Harry (Macy) Leonard of St. Louis, Stanley (Donna) Leonard of Texas; and four sisters, Esther Brookens of Shepherd, Margaret (Richard) Clevenger of Shepherd, and Tootie (Elson) Curtiss of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orrin R. Marshall; her daughter, Jayne Boge; brothers, Donald, Jay, Marion, Arden, William, Jim, Darrough, Thomas Leonard; and sisters, Lillian O’Boyle and Hazel Balke. As per Marvis’s wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held. The Berry Funeral Home have been entrusted with the arrangements.

I think of her so often. Her smile, her laugh, and the many many good times we had together. Things are just not the same without her. I miss her, and I know that many others do too. Love you Aunt Marcie.

To the sweetest lady I ever knew you was and still is on my mind. You will always be missed by all of us. You was and still is so loved by so many people. Every time I seen you I would have the biggest smile and you touch my heart in so many ways so thank you for the great memories. We miss and love you now rest in peace.
