John Michael Lopez

FREMONT: John Michael Lopez, 23, died on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in Fremont.

Born on September 6, 1992 in Fremont, he was a son of Richard Lee Lopez, Sr. and Cindy (Rios) Tucker.

John enjoyed competing in JiuJitsu/MMA, lifting weights at Body Lines, and Iron Core Gym and playing video games. He loved spending time with his family; especially his son Johnny, Jr. John grew up going to church at Victory Church, Fremont and Cornerstone Church, Maumee. He loved Fluffy the cat.

John is survived by his mother and step-father, Greg Tucker; grandmothers, Mary Ann Rios and Elodia Gonzales; fiancée, Jia Ping Tong; son, John Michael, Jr.; siblings, Richard Lee (Alora) Lopez, Jr. and Candace Lopez; step-siblings, Stephanie Tucker, Jerry Avalos, all of Fremont, and Travis Tucker of Clyde; aunts, Lona and Lucy Rios, and Melissa Gonzales; uncle, John Rios and Ismael "Maya" Gonzales, all of Fremont; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Richard; and grandfathers, Hilario "Larry" Rios and Santiago Gonzales, Jr.

Visitation will be on Sunday, January 17, 1-7 p.m., at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. at Victory Church on Monday, January 18; where there will be an hour of visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Rev. David Banks will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pontifex, Fremont.
