Alberta Nelson Obituary
She was born in Eastview to Thomas and Bradie Miller Gray. She was a homemaker and loved helping other people.
She was preceded in death by her first husband and father to her children, Stanley E. Jones; her father, Thomas Gray; her mother, Bradie Miller Gray; two brothers, Arvil and Walter Gray; two sisters, Hazel and Gladys Campbell; a daughter-in-law, Rose Marie Jones; and her loving husband of many years, William Nelson.
Survivors include her five sons, Stanley W. Jones (Gladys) of LaFayette, Indiana, Doyle R. Jones of Big Clifty, Russell L. Jones and Barry Jones (Bobbie), all of Cecilia, and Gary Jones (Crystal) of Glendale; a daughter, Linda Beasley of Elizabethtown; two stepdaughters, Joyce (Joseph) Leyoung and Connie Kinkade (Jesse); two stepsons, Billy (Maryann) Nelson and James (Edna) Nelson. She also had a loving host of 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Brother Ron Heller officiating. Burial follows in Summit Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Birdie you will be missed and sending thoughts and prayers to the family during this difficult time. What a beautiful long life lived, and friends made along the way including my late parents David and Reba Heath and their family in Stephensburg. Many great memories of her living in Summit, KY community and later in Elizabethtown. Please accept our condolences to the family for your loss.
