Doris Mobley Obituary

Doris Jean Mobley, 92, of Elizabethtown, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025, at Tender Touch Senior Living surrounded by those who loved her dearly. We are grateful for all of the staff who took wonderful care during her stay there.

Doris was born Aug. 26, 1932, to the late Marvin and Daisy Perry. She was a proud member at Severns Valley Baptist Church for many years, where she volunteered as a childcare worker, Bible study teacher and MOPS. She also enjoyed her daily morning walks with her group of friends at the local Towne Mall.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Daisy Perry; her beloved husband of more than 60 years, Joseph Mobley; a brother, Kenneth Perry; and numerous brothers-in law and sisters-in-law.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Kevin Mobley (Terri); a grandson, Kyle Mobley; a sister-in-law, Shirley Mobley of Elizabethtown; a brother-in-law, Mike Mobley of Upton; a bonus son, Robbie Wright; and a host of cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 17, at Severns Valley Baptist Church in Elizabethtown. Burial follows in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continues from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Doris' honor to Severns Valley Baptist Church or Hosparus of Kentucky.
