Jodie Bratcher Obituary

Jodie Bratcher, 94, passed away Friday, Oct. 27, 2023.

Florence Jo "Jodie" Maloy Bratcher was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on Nov. 13, 1928, to the late Harold Maloy and Anna McCall Maloy. She enjoyed her role as a pastor's wife, teaching Sunday school and helping others.

In addition to her parents, Jodie was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bratcher; and six siblings, William Maloy, Harold Maloy, Walter Maloy, Mina Elliott, Pat Ohnesorge and Marjorie Green.

Survivors include her three children, Doug Bratcher (Jan), Dona McCurry (Roger) and Laura Goins (Robert); several grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service is at 11 a.m. CDT Tuesday, Oct. 31, 3 at Yellow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 5741 KY Hwy 144, in Owensboro. Burial follows in Yellow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery for the service and there will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Baptist International Missions, Inc., P.O. Box 9, Harrison, TN 37341 Attn: Donor No. 1254 as a support for her grandson's mission work in Honduras.

Dona, the legacy of your mother will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.  Her soul has moved on, but she will always be with you. Praying for you and your family in the loss of this precious lady. I always enjoyed talking with her.
