Marc Hardy Obituary

Marc Alan Hardy, 59, of Upton, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.

A native of Athens, Texas, he retired from Masterson's Electric as an electrician after having served six years in the U.S. Air Force as an airplane mechanic. He was a loving husband and father who liked to travel, loved to cook and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Gale Williams Hardy; two daughters, Kirsten Seaver of Elizabethtown and Jessica Claire Hardy of Upton; a son, Nathan Alan Hardy of Louisville; his father and stepmother, Don and Helen Hardy of Georgetown, Texas; his mother and stepfather, Marlene and Jeff Mattison of Eureka, California; four sisters, Jill Torres (Yani) of Paris, France, Kim Hardy of Georgetown, Texas, Krista Spoo of Renner, Texas, and Jenny Hardy of Georgetown, Texas; a brother, Collin Mattison (Bree) of San Diego, California; and a sister-in-law, Allison Williams.

The funeral is at noon on Thursday, April 4, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Rev. Lewis Priddy officiating. Burial follows in Upton Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continues at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

I served with Marc in Germany. He was our brother. He will be missed. Had the best stereo in the barracks. He will be rocking all of heaven tonight!
