Blake Collins Obituary
He was born March 28, 1936, in Morganton to the late Millard Collins and Minnie Davis Collins.
Blake retired from Atlanta Gas and Light as a Meter Shop superintendent. He was a member of Morganton Baptist Church. Blake was the chairman of the Fannin County Republican Party for many years. He served in the United States Army during Korea.
Blake was preceded in death his by parents; his loving wife of 65 years that passed away, September 14, 2023, Wanda Sue Patterson Collins; and siblings, Blaine Collins, Haven Kiker, Hazel Cantrell and Helen Green.
Survivors are his son, Jeffrey Collins of Morganton; daughter, Deborah Condetti of Morganton; grandchildren, Allison Collins, Andrea Ellison, Jonathon Jones, Brandon Condetti, Savannah Condetti, Madison Condetti, and Clare Allen; and great-grandchildren, Benson Condetti, Hazel Condetti, and Charlotte Condetti.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 1 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with the Rev. Eric Kincaid officiating.
Military honors were provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Interment followed in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family visited with friends at the funeral home Monday evening, December 18, from 4 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
