Allan Satain Obituary

Allan W.Satain

Allan W. Satain, also known as to some as "Tiny", passed away April 22, 2010 at St. Peter Hospital. He was born June 8, 1940 in Tipton, California to Jessie and Calvin Sartain. He was one of nine children.
Allan worked for the Milwaukee Railroad for 14 years, H&N International for 14 ½ years, and Thurston County Roads and Transportation for 9 years. He also served in the United States Coast Guard from 1960-1968.
Allan was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Sartain for 43 1/2 years; and was the beloved father to Shelly and George Conway, Larry and Kristy Sartain, and Carrie and David Brown. He was also blessed with three loving grandsons; Tyler, Xander and Steven. He is also survived by two older sisters, two older brothers, and many nieces, nephews, and adopted family…(you know who you are).
Allan was a great friend to anyone who knew him. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, escorting his wife to fair functions, playing with his three grandsons and attending their school and athletic events and also taking care of his youngest grandson on a daily basis.
Family is planning a Celebration of Life/Potluck on May 8, 2010 at 1:00p.m., Thurston County Fairgrounds in Heritage Hall. All are welcome to attend.

Al & I went to High School together, and just this last year really renewed our friendship. We have alumni lunches and he has been the first one to be there and always had a big smile for everyone. He will be deeply missed by all of his Class of 59 Bethel High School classmates.

WHAT A BLESSING AL WAS TO ALL OF US. I GOT TO SPEND ALL OF AL'S YEARS AT H-N WITH HIM. WHAT A JOY. HE WAS SO FRIENDLY AND OUT GOING TO EVERY ONE. HE REALLY LOVED PEOPLE AND THAT SHOWS IN HIS FAMILY AS WELL AND THINGS THAT YOU HAVE SEEN AND HEARD HIM DO. I KNOW YOU DO AS WELL. A TESTIMONY OF A GOOD AND FAITHFUL MAN. LOVE DAVID AND TERESA ROBINSON
