Carol Olin Obituary
April 11, 1947 - April 28, 2025
Olympia, Washington - Carol Ann "Susee" (Miller) Olin passed away somewhat unexpectedly at home in Olympia, Washington, on April 28, 2025, at the age of 78.
Born on April 11, 1947, to Arnold "Arnie" and Frances Aileen "Tinker" Miller in Tenino, Washington, Susee was raised in Tenino and graduated from Tenino High School in 1965. She graduated from PLU in 1969 with a teaching degree, where she later returned for further education. Susee taught for the Bethel School District and at Reeves Middle School before children. In 1984 she returned to teaching as the Librarian at Mountain View Elementary in Shelton. She retired from this position in 2006.
Susee had a deep love for reading and sharing that passion with children. She enjoyed cooking, hosting gatherings, trying new recipes, razor clam digging, spending time at Ocean Shores, attending/planning Tenino High School reunions, and meeting friends for lunch. She especially cherished time with her granddaughters and family. She will be greatly missed.
Susee is preceded in death by her son Jeff and both parents. Susee is survived by her daughter Alissa; son-in-law Chris; granddaughters Claire and Makenzie; sister Pam; brother-in-law Bob; nephews Eric and Peter and their families; Uncle Fred; Aunts Jean and Mary; and numerous cousins and extended family members.
A celebration of life will be held at the Tenino Quarry House on May 24, 2025, at 12:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Breast Cancer Association or to a library in Susee's honor.

Susee (as I always called her) was a long time friend and I enjoyed our monthly RH luncheons where she was known as our "Queen", her quick wit and admired her wisdom and outlook on many subjects. She will be missed by us all.
