Marjorie Hubbert Obituary

Marjorie Hubbert Marjorie Hill Graham Hubbert, a resident of the Tumwater/Olympia, Wash., area for 67 years, passed away February 28, 2018 at the age of 100. She was born October 13, 1917, to Ralph Graham and Frances Hill Graham in Chehalis, Wash. When she was very young, the family moved to Tacoma, Wash. She graduated from Stadium High School in 1936. On April 5, 1942, she married John Hubbert in Chehalis; he passed away in 1985. Marjorie worked as a secretary for the Tumwater School System, secretary of the Chehalis Chamber of Commerce and DSHS (Vital Statistics). She did volunteer work for various organizations, and was a Senate Gallery Hostess for the Washington Legislature. She was a Past Matron of Chehalis OES #3, Mother Advisor for Chehalis Rainbow, a Cub Scout den mother, and PTA president. She enjoyed young people, traveling, family and friends. She is survived by her son, C.A. Buck (Kaye) Hubbert, Chehalis; and daughter, Susan (Larry) Watilo of El Mirage, Arizona. She is survived by three grandchildren, Ralph (Rogette) Hubbert, Lori (Kevin) Romines, and Rob (Michelle) Watilo; and 10 great grandchildren. The family will have a private service at a later date.
