Timothy Keck Obituary

Timothy Zach Keck 1957 - 2013 A joyous man has suddenly left behind a legacy of loving others. Tim was born in Chehalis, WA to Zack and Dixie Keck. He graduated from Eureka High School in 1975, and later with a bachelor's degree in business from Evergreen State College. He married the love of his life, Jennifer Keck, on November 4, 1993. Tim and Jennifer lived in Olympia for 20 years, Tim working for DSHS, and Jennifer with the North Thurston Public Schools, before moving to Spokane four years ago, where Jennifer became principal at Bemiss Elementary. In his early years, Tim was a member of the United States Coast Guard. His love of helping people found its mark in his work. Tim was appreciated in both western WA and Spokane, recently celebrating 25 years with DSHS. He loved helping people get back on their feet. Tim made friends everywhere he went and left a lasting impression on those he helped. An avid fan of the San Francisco Giants, Huskies, Gonzaga Bulldogs, and Seahawks, Tim was always rooting for and talking about his teams. He was an enthusiastic member of the American Cribbage Congress. Tim cherished family times at their Priest Lake cabin and traveling to Mexico with Jennifer and precious friends. In addition to Jennifer, Tim is survived by his parents, Zack and Dixie Keck; sister, Cynde Ulrich of Centralia; three children: Jeff and Dania Cochran of Ellensburg and Katie Cochran of Spokane. He will be missed also by three grandchildren, Paisley and Noah Cochran, Leah Lynch and so many dear friends. A memorial service was held at Holy Names Convent in Spokane on May 25, 2013. Friends and family are invited to "A Celebration of Tim's Life" in Olympia, Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at River Ridge Covenant Church, followed by a potluck BBQ.
