KENNETH LEROY "KEN" DINGEY

1928 - 2023

KITTANNING - Kenneth LeRoy "Ken" Dingey, 95, of Kittanning, passed away on Sept. 15, 2023. He was born on July 23, 1928, in Philipsburg, to the late Orvis Dingey and Anna (Gustafson) Dingey. Ken is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Julia Dolores (Parkes) Dingey, and his sister, Gladys (Dingey) Martz.

Ken had a distinguished career in the telecommunications industry, spanning 36 years. He began his journey in Feb., 1954 as a lineman with Home Telephone Company in Ridgway. Through his hard work and dedication, Ken climbed the ranks and eventually retired as the Commercial Manager and Regional Staff Supervisor from Alltell, Inc. in Kittanning in July 1990.

Outside of his professional life, Ken had a passion for the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, finding solace and joy in the beauty of nature. Throughout his life, Ken enjoyed many memorable camping, hunting and fishing trips, creating cherished memories with his friends and loved ones.

Ken leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory. He is survived by his daughter, Julia Ann (Jerry) Buchleitner and his son, David (Amanda) Dingey. Ken also leaves behind his grandchildren, Jessica Buchleitner, Jason (Abigail) Buchleitner, and Dawson Dingey; as well as his great-grandchildren, Josephina and Theodore Buchleitner. Additionally, Ken is survived by two sister-in-laws; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ken's legacy will be remembered by his family and friends, who will forever hold his memories close to their hearts. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered for his dedication to his career, his love for the outdoors, and his unwavering love for his family.

A celebration of Ken's life will be held at Mantini Funeral Home, Ford City at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023 with visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
