Rachel Wiggins Obituary

BRYSON CITY - Rachel Ellen Wiggins, 60, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 15, 2025. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late William "Buster" and Barbara Cloer Wiggins. She was a member of the East Alarka Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Allen (Priscilla) Cochran; grandchildren, Kathourynne and George Cochran of whom she loved very, very much and Alexis McMahan; sister, Teresa (Tim) Welch; and brothers, Johnny (Pam) and Scott Wiggins; and her special cousin who was like a sister, Wanda Ledford.
She looked forward each day to going to her store, Rachels Resale, where she made many friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 18 in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Wiggins Family Cemetery. The family received friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers were Allen and George Cochran, Tate and Colt McGaha and Justus and Terrance Welch.
