Frances Davis Obituary

Frances Ramona Coley Davis, 92, of Albemarle passed away on April 2, 2024 in the McWhorter Hospice House in Monroe. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ron Loflin officiating.
Born May 14, 1931 in Stanly County, she was the daughter of Lola Gaines Coley Melton and stepdaughter of Charlie (Rink) Melton.
She was a member of West Albemarle Baptist Church and was a retired textile employee. She attended Albemarle High School.
Mrs. Davis took pride in her family and was a caregiver and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jennings Bryon (Bill) Davis; a sister, Marian Coley Laust; and daughters Pamela Davis Blalock and Kathy Davis Brown.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Davis McCormack of New London; sister Myra Melton Simpson of Jacksonville, FL; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.

I wish i would've brought her more tomato sandwiches! She sure loved em. Had to peel the tomatoes but I didn't mind. It was easier for her to chew.
