Rosella Casper Obituary

ANNA - Rosella V. Casper, 84, died at 9:52 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2008, in Union County Hospital in Anna.

She was born Jan. 26, 1924, in Belleville, the daughter of Andrew and Rose Lidiski Kirkwood.

She was married to Dr. H. Russell Casper on Sept. 25, 1945, in Great Lakes. He preceded her in death Nov. 14, 1997.

Rosella is survived by three sons, Dr. John Casper of Anna, the Rev. Don Casper and wife, Vicki, of St. Louis and Roger Casper and wife, Cindy, of Anna; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dr. George and Etoile Casper of Anna and Virginia Casper of Jackson, Mo.; three grandchildren, Jeremy Casper of Pasadena, Calif., Jennifer Toth of O'Fallon, Mo., and Nigel A. Casper of Jonesboro; two great-grandchildren, Kamryn and Xander Toth; and other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Dr. H. Russell Casper.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Anna, the Everly Hayes Mission Circle of the church, the sewing club and various other organizations in Anna.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2008, in Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home iin Anna, with the Rev. Tony Foeller and the Rev. Don Casper officiating. Interment will be in Anna Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Anna, the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

I was so sorry to hear of Aunt Rosella's death. I'm very sorry I was unable to attend the funeral. Our thoughts were with you. . .and continue to be with you.

John, Donnie, Roger and Families,

I was so sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. I'm am very sorry I was not able to get by the funeral home. I would have liked to been there to express my sympathy in person. Know that my prayers are with you at this difficult time. Each one of you has been very special to me in your own way. I'm sure Rosella was very proud of each one of you. She was blessed with three great sons. May her spirit continue to live on through each of you and your families.
