Delilah Carter Obituary

Delilah Joy Larson Carter (Dee)

Cedar City - Delilah Joy Larson Carter (Dee) passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021 at her home in Cedar City, UT. Dee was born March 6, 1940 in Rupert, Idaho, the second child of five born to Reed Brigham and Mary June Little Larson. She attended schools in Burley, Idaho graduating from Burley High School in 1958. After high school she moved to Salt Lake City, UT and worked for the LDS Genealogy Society and with Huish Distributing. While living in Salt Lake, she met Murlan Duane Carter, and they were later married in Burley, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized and their family sealed together in the Ogden Temple. In 1969 they moved to Cedar City, UT and there raised their four children. Once her children were raised she went to work for Hunter Cowan and enjoyed many years there. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was the chorister in her ward.

Dee enjoyed golfing, league softball and bowling, square dancing, and calling square dancing for the Hey Cedars square dance group, and made many new friends at square dance festivals. She loved music and singing and other outdoor fun, and always wanted to have a good time at everything she did. She was family oriented and loved family gatherings; doing for others was a special trait. She had a special love for everyone in her life, both family and friends and made everyone feel special.

Special thanks to Zion's Way Hospice and Home Health, and Rock Steady Boxing fighting against Parkinson's Disease.
