Sorry to have missed the tribute to Harvey, and also to see all the folks that I have worked with because of Harvey Susser.
Harvey was THE ONE GUY in my theatrical life that gave me wings.
I wish I could have been there to share what he gave me. I know he probably gave each and every one of his actors the same stage of opportunity to experience, to learn and grow.
Harvey allowed me to open my mind and use my abilities, and to create the schtick that I do in my own theatrical productions.
HE GAVE ME PERMISSION, and encouraged MORE! MORE!! MORE!!!!!! But yet he always was mindful of the production and the playwrite.
I want everyone who ever has been in one of our Keyhole Mystery Theater productions, or perhaps even just seen one of our KMT shows, to know it was Harvey that took this commercial jingle singer/actor and molded a crazy theater person and schtick-doctor. And every silly bit, or piece of comedy I thought of or did on stage it was Harvey that was the base of it.
Harvey, you have always been with me, in my heart and in my mind.
I owe it all to you!

My sincere sympathy and condolences to the Susser family. I have fond memories of Harvey. In the fall of 1973, I took Pat Lusk's stage costume class at College of Marin. It was at that time I had the honor to help make costmes for Harvey's plays. I have fond memories of his kindness and great sense of humor.

I was honored to be among Harvey's first students. In 1962 he taught me eighth grade science and P.E. (no, I am not in the wrong guest book) He was only 26, but my homeroom teacher aptly described him as a "keg of dynamite."
For years afterwards, he became a good friend to my family and I. I know he inspired countless young people over the decades. He was my most unforgettable teacher. Easily.
My sincere condolences to Corie and the whole family. Take care, you guys.

Even a lifetime cannot allow for the depth of personal experiences that a man, whom we all thought the world of, gave so freely of his own gifts so that we all felt so blessed! Only rave reviews go out to the whole Susser clan, for allowing us all to have shared a bit of his remarkable life! He will always be missed, but never forgotten!

Just heard of Harv's passing and, although I knew it was near, I am unbelieveably sad. I am what I am today partially because Harv gave me support when I needed it and a vision to live by. Sympathy and love to the family. Undying devotion to Coralie JP Susser.

Josh and Family-
I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. My father passed on June 16 and I think I know how you are feeling. I remember your dad from all of those years ago and what a nice guy he was.
The only thing I am pretty sure of is that our fathers are up there right now, telling stories and looking over us thinking how happy they want us to be going forward with our lives.
I wish you and your family all the best and please don't hesitate to drop me a line.
My sincerest condolences and best regards,
Jon Thompson

Harvey taught me much about professional theater, told me that I was a character actor, cast me in great parts, gave me advice, pictures, and a sense of what the world was like outside both local theater and our cossetted and wonderful COM.When he believed in us, he acted on that belief. If only all the creative community were like Harvey, we might all dream more, accomplish more, and certainly love it more.
I'm so sorry to hear this news.
Love to Corey and family.

Thanking you Harvey for teaching me the joys of film and theater; for all the beautiful and entertaining shows; the training; the challenges; candid and practical advise; and encouragement.
It took me 25 years, but I'm finally a a member of the "drama department." Doubt if I could have achieved that dream if hadn't been for you. You somehow knew the perfect way I could make my contribution. I'm cheering them on, just like you said I would. With graditude for always reminding me I was worthy.

Harvey, what a perfect photo of you! It's how most of us remember you. I haven't the words to express the emotional pang it gives me looking at it. You were loved, are loved and will be in our hearts forever. Goodbye, dear friend.

A motorcycle that told us he was on site and that made us smile, a frantic and funny gathering for costumes & sets to set-up for press releases, a genuinely caring man that held difficult shows together. Harvey brought acting, directing and backstage talent from the classroom to the stage.
Cory- you made the flight from SFO to London memorable. Harvey made Edinburgh rememberable with his incredible photos and lectures.
Bless you and the family.

I have just learned of Harvey's death and am devastated. The Susser family taught me how to be part of a loving clan and Harvey taught me everything I neede to know about theatre. Corey taught me that leaving a carton of milk on the counter is not the end of the world. But most important Harvey taught me to take risks and that changed my life forever. The stars are dimmer tonight. Love to Corey, Leland, Joshua, Jennie and Benjamin

I played Sir Andrew Aguecheek in Twelfth Night at AE Kent School in 1963. I was 12 years old. Mr. Susser was a strong, positive force in my life, a gift to so many of us.
