As a friend of both Barbara and Jim's for 40 plus years, it has been my privilege to think of them as family.
Anyone who knew Jim will smile when I say, he was the most confident man I know. He was in his comfort zone while wearing his Hawaiian Sarong ( shirtless) , Speedo, Throbe (long white kaftan from Kuwait) Nehru and ruffled shirts, pedal pushers, and velvet jackets. A totally unique, creative , one of a kind guy! Oh yes, let's not forget: a great dancer. Thanks for the memories my friend .

Uncle Jim was so talented.
I remember when we little we went to his home. He created each room in the house as a season . Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall theme.
He truly was able to make each room a wonderland.
Praying for all his family.
Love Karen

here aren't enough words, other than I loved this man and his humor ever so much. I am ever so sadden at his death. He always made me laugh and he always said he could never forget my pranks. Love and condolences the Barbara and Family.

Jim, RIP.
My grandmother on my father's side; her maiden name Etta Aikens.
Just wondering if we might be part of the Aikens family history tree.
