Faye Moore Obituary
A native of Washington County, she was born on March 26, 1922, to the late Daniel Palmer and Martha Kays Cheatham.
She was a member of the Cornerstone Christian Church, a 1940 graduate of Springfield High School and a retired employee of the former First and Peoples Bank of Springfield.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Vernon Emerson Moore on Nov. 1, 2008; a son, Larry Vernon Moore on Dec. 29, 1951; a son-in-law, Richard E. Kennedy on Feb. 27, 2010; a sister, Lettie Grigsby on Nov. 30, 2005, and two brothers, Ruel Cheatham on Oct. 17, 1998, and D.P. Cheatham on Dec. 29, 2012.
Survivors include two daughters, Kaye Kennedy of Los Angeles, Calif., and Deborah Webb (Robert) of Lexington, five grandchildren, Rob Blair (Michael), Kimberly Blair Shively (Ryan), children, Rob Blair (Ryan), Jason Webb (Michelle), Lauren Webb and Benjamin Webb and two great-grandchildren, Palmer Ryan Shively and Isaac Vernon Shively.
Funeral services were held at 11:30 Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Cornerstone Christian Church with Bro. Craig Yates, officiating. He was assisted by Bro. Warren Whitaker and Bro. Larry A."Fella" Wilson.
Burial was on Cemetery Hill.
Serving as pallbearers were Jimmie Grigsby, Tim Grigsby, Craig Grigsby, Bill Weller, Harold Cheatham, Billy Lutz, Bobby Lutz and Robert Jones.
Carey & Son Funeral Home is charge of arrangements.

Faye was a wonderful neighbor and friend to my parents and everyone else she knew. A kind and giving woman, she made a bedspread for my granddaughter's doll bed. I am so sorry for your loss, but I know she is spreading joy in heaven.
