Barbara Woolard Obituary
Hartford City - Barbara Ann Woolard, 84, passed away at 11:37 a.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center E.R.
She was born in Keystone on July 19, 1933, to Paul Lavere Riggs and Nellie Faye (Speece) Riggs. Both parents precede her in death.
Barbara graduated from Chester Center High School in 1951. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a 50 year member of O.E.S. #41 (Order of the Eastern Star) in Upland.
Barbara married Eugene "Gene" Woolard on February 24, 1952, at Keystone United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning, crossword puzzles, shopping and watching western movies.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 65 years, Eugene "Gene" Woolard of Hartford City; sons, Steven Howard (wife, Brenda) Woolard of Keystone; David Eugene (wife, Marilyn) of Hartford City; Jeffrey Alan (wife, Teresa K.) Woolard of Lafayette; grandchildren, Cassie Lynn (husband, Daniel) Wilson, Jamie Ann (Husband, Cory) Runkle, Ryan Woolard, Cory Woolard and Brad Kreischer; great-grandchildren, Carlie Runkle, Rylie Wilson and Koletin Wilson; 6 step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She is also preceded in death by her sister, Betty Barton, brothers, Bob Riggs, Dick Riggs and Paul Riggs.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 12, 2017, at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St. Hartford City with Pastor Dustin Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Hartford City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2017, and from 10:00 to 1:00 a.m. at Keplinger Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 303 North Walnut Street, Hartford City, IN or Shriner's Children's Hospital, 2211 North Oak Park Avenue, Chicago, IL 60707

Dear Gene, I am so sorry. Barb was a great lady, and I am fortunate to know her. Lots of fun! I am sorry I can't come out, but I am recovering from surgery. Take care, you are in my thoughts and prayers!
