Chris A. Towne, 67

MUNCIE - Chris A. Towne, 67, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017 at his residence.

He was born in Muncie on October 2, 1949, the son of George and Lucille (DePoy) and graduated from Muncie Southside High School in 1967.

Chris was a tool and die maker working thirty years for Delphi Division of General Motors in Anaheim, California and eight years for JennerJon in Matthews, Indiana.

Survivors include his wife, Darby (Forker) Towne; four children, Paula Towne-Hoyt (husband, Gene), Christina Ogletree (husband, Rex), Matthew Towne and Randal Towne; four grandchildren, Brandon Roberts, Austin Ogletree, Lillianna Garcia and Cynthia Towne; one great-grandson, Jayse Roberts; a brother, William Towne (wife, Collen); step-siblings, Jean and James Crum, Linda and Larry Daily, Gail and Terry Hash and Brinda Leake.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Holmes; step-siblings, Ruth Anne Davis, Sue Stephens and Robert Turner; and his parents.

A memorial visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2017 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
