Roger Yoder Obituary

Roger Lee Yoder

Parker City - On the 21st of March 2018 in Parker City Indiana, Roger Lee Yoder's immortal soul left his earthly body to return to its eternal home.

He was 82 years old and had been receiving hospice care for several months.

He was born on the 25th of June 1935 near Springfield, OH to Robert and Luella (Carpenter) Yoder.

During his long life he had many talents, his love of music and his beautiful tenor voice led him to sing in various gospel groups starting around 1947. He was also an excellent machinist working at Carmichael Machine Corporation making parts for the space program's mission to orbit Earth. He enjoyed flying planes in his free time. More than any of this though, he loved to minister to people throughout the world and share his love of God with them. For several years, he worked as a minister with his long-time friend Loran Helm.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father as well as his wife Virginia (James) Yoder (to whom he was married 46 years), brother Robert D. Yoder and sister-in-law Katie Yoder

Among his many mourners are his wife Nancy Helm Yoder of 4 years, daughter Kimberly Yoder Boggs, step-daughters Bonita Jacobs Allison and Angel Flora Andrews (husband Kenneth Andrews), brother Wayne Yoder and sister-in-law Betty Yoder and nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who loved him.

He donated his body to the IU School of Medicine.

Memorials can be sent to Revival for our Day (12201 W 150 N Parker City, Indiana 47368)
