Ruby Beaty Obituary
Muncie - Ruby Mae Beaty, 85, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Sharps Chapel, Tennessee on May 20, 1933, the daughter of William and MaHala (Ellison) Dossett.
Ruby was a homemaker raising her children. She was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God and Avondale Sympathy Club.
Survivors include her children, Galen Beaty (wife, Marica) and Dina Goad (husband, Russell); grandchildren, Christi Overman (husband, Evan), Jon Beaty (wife, Heather), Jennifer Duncan (husband, Danny) and Sarah Goad (fiancé, Heath Reynolds); her great-grandchildren, Ian and Brenna Overman, Miles and Maxwell Beaty, Madilyne, Lawsyn and Nova Duncan; also surviving are two sisters, Maxine York and Ruth Burks; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-nine years, Thomas D. Beaty in 2013; a son, David Lee Beaty 1963, two brothers, William and James Dossett; two sisters, Edna Atkins and Paulina Bicknell; and her parents.
Ruby was gentle and kindhearted, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid Pacers fan and enjoyed watching them whenever she could.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Mt. Pleasant Chapel, 7901 West Isanogel Road, with Pastor Kevin Holt officiating. Burial will follow in elm Ridge Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Mt. Pleasant Mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Glad Tidings Assembly of God, 3001 South Burlington Drive, Muncie, Indiana 47302.
