It was my privilege to be Eddie's primary care physician for the past few years. Through frequent visits to the MCG Family Medicine Clinic in Augusta we became friends. Eddie often expressed his faith in Christ. I will miss him.

To the family, I offer these works of encouragement from 1 Corinthians 15: "For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:
Death is swallowed up in victory.
O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

May the grace and peace of Christ be with you all.

It was always a pleasure knowing and working with Eddie for many years. It was much more than just knowing him. We shared life and had more great experiences than anyone could imagine. He was always a valued, trusted friend who can never be replaced. He is in a better place now and we will all be together again one day. Our thoughts and prayers are with Debbie and his family.
