Jean Fogle Obituary

ELLOREE - Mrs. Jean Davis Fogle, wife of the late Felder Keith Fogle (Kicky), of Elloree, died Saturday, January 22, 2011, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Elloree, with Pastor Paul Hirth officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church at 2:00 p.m.

Jean was born in Norway, South Carolina, on June 15, 1933, a daughter of the late Leon Allison Davis and the late Inez Fogle Davis. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school for over 50 years. Jean was an active member of Evergreen Garden Club, Lottie Felder Circle, and Golden Age Club. She was also a docent for the Elloree Heritage Museum and an active volunteer chairing the Country Store.

Survivors include one daughter, Lesa McGary (Mark) of Weddington, NC; two sons, Sammy Fogle (Jacquelyn) of Cameron and Jerry Fogle (Elizabeth) of Elloree; seven grandchildren, Tyler, Katie and Sydney McGary, Rachel and Erica Fogle, Felder and Davis Fogle; one sister, Evelyn Sawyer (George) of Saluda; one brother, Al Davis, of Bishopville; brother-in-law, William Fogle of Elloree; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Fogle and Frances Rishell of Elloree and Estell Fogle of Orangeburg. One sister, Nancy Riley, predeceased her.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Fogle-Hungerpiller Funeral Home in Elloree.
