Sadie Turner Obituary

Sadie Vondilee Palmer Turner
March 28, 1931 - February 15, 2021
Columbia, South Carolina - Sadie Vondilee Palmer Turner, 89, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021. Born in Richland County, on March 28,1931, she was a daughter of the late Tillman DuBose Palmer, Sr. and Irene Agnes Martin Palmer.
Sadie was a faithful member of Anchor Baptist Church where she enjoyed being a part of her Church Family and looked forward to attending Worship Services.
The greatest event by far that ever occurred in her life was the day she realized and understood that she was a sinner and came to understand and believe the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ as stated in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4. How that Jesus Christ died for her sins according to the Scriptures and was buried and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. Upon understanding and believing the Gospel she then asked Jesus to forgive her of her sins and come into her life and save her soul.
At that very moment she received from Jesus the free gift of Eternal Life that is available to all who believe.
For that reason and that reason alone, she is now in Heaven with Jesus at total peace where God shall wipe away all tears from her eyes and where there is no more death neither sorrow nor crying and where there is no more pain for all eternity.
Understanding, what the Bible says, that the only way to Heaven is thru Jesus, Sadie also encouraged others to receive in the same way she did this free gift of Eternal Life from Jesus.
She was the Owner of Sadie's Beauty Salon for over twenty years and she loved gardening, traveling, and cooking. In her younger years she worked for JC Penny's modeling hosiery.
Survivors include her daughter, Kimberley Turner Hinkle (Stephen); son, William Ross Turner, Jr.; daughter-in-law Deana Turner; grandchildren Glenn Francis Cashdollar, Ashley Marie Cashdollar (Roni), Donavan Cole Turner, Brittany Jeffers (Brett), and Allison Talley (Matthew); brother, Hugh Palmer; sisters Jonnie Berry, and Mary Letts. In addition to her parents and loving husband of 67 years, William R. Turner, Sr., she was preceded in death by her son John Marshall Turner.
Funeral service for Ms. Turner will be held 12:30 o'clock, Friday, January 22, 2021, at Anchor Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Kirchinger and Rev. Dennis Letts officiating.
