Dear Will,
Thank you for your service, for your outstanding commitment to the Marine Corps and your buddies. They will miss you, just as your loving family will miss you and love you forever. You gave everything you had and more to preserve the cause of freedom throughout our World. As a Vietnam Veteran, I have lost many friends, men just like you who did not hesitate to serve their country. I miss my friends but also know in my heart that they, like you, gave their best and, thereby, the rest of us will live forever through our children and grandchildren. Thank you! It would have been an extraordinary honor to serve with you.

My heart goes out to the friends and family of this young American Hero; you have my most sincere condolences. It's such a terrible tragedy that this strong young man will miss the possibilities his future could have offered. It seems odd that for so many "William" memories, I'm at a loss for words. You know how special Will was to us, as he was to everyone. His brand on our lives is something we will always remember and cherish. That, and the craw-dad lure bartering. What a guy.
