Jackie Fowler Best, 64, of Walnut Cove, went home to be with her Lord Friday morning, May 26, 2023, at her home. Jackie was born on June 18, 1958, in Guilford County to the late Duffie Junior and Essie Mae Thompson Fowler. She was retired from Best Belts Company with 36 years of service. Jackie was a loving mother and loved taking care of her children. She was so very proud of all of their accomplishments. Jackie enjoyed being outdoors, and loved farming, gardening, and taking care of animals. She was a wonderful cook and liked to cook wild meat. Jackie loved the beach, and enjoyed trout fishing. She made the best of every day and was always having fun. She was preceded in death by her parents. Jackie is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Dean Best; two children, Jimmy Solano (Dana) and Maria Solano Miller; five grandchildren, Hunter Fulp, Abby Fulp, Alec Solano, Christopher Solano, and Madelinn Solano; and her three brothers, Ed Fowler, Beaman Fowler, and Ned Fowler. There will be a 3 p.m. graveside service held on Thursday, June 1, at Stokesdale United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Wayne Marion officiating. Memorials may be made to Friends of the Stokes Shelter: 1111 Dodgetown Road, Walnut Cove, NC 27052. Online condolences may be made at www.burroughsfuneralhome.com.
