Roberta Nelson Obituary
Born in Philadelphia, PA on October 20, 1935, she was the daughter of the late William and Reba (Rosen) Holloman.
Roberta was educated in Philadelphia and moved to North Carolina at 13 years old. She attended nursing school at Wayne County Memorial Hospital in North Carolina. Roberta worked as a nurse for many years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. Roberta's favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren.
Roberta is survived by her loving husband of 64 years David Nelson; her beloved children Bonnie Nelson and husband Richard Pombriant of Attleboro and Brian and wife Kerri Nelson of Falmouth; her cherished grandchildren Michael Nelson, Kathrine Nelson, Emily Nelson, and Robert Pombriant. She was the dear sister of Linda Kidd.
Roberta was predeceased by her son the late David Michael Nelson in 1970.
Funeral services were private and held on September 28th at the R.J. Ross Funeral Home.

Oh gosh. I'm just hearing of Bert's passing. My condolences to all of you. She was such a fabulous woman who always had a vibrant smile and such loving things to say. Hello To the Nelson Family . I remember you all , when we were younger ,Brian being the Baseball pitcher , Bonnie just being a pretty young woman , and Mr Nelson. seeing you at church and around town. I´m so sorry for your family´s loss. Your mom was a great woman. I remember when I got married and your dad took pictures for my wedding. I came to the house and your mom was so welcoming and eased my worries. Telling me how much pride your dad took in all the pictures he took. Moms are never easy to loose but I´m glad I´ve been blessed to meet both your parents! Rest In Peace
