JEFFREY YARNELL
ROXANA — Jeffrey Charles Yarnell, 60, passed away 11:38 p.m., Monday, Feb. 26, 2018.
Born in Wood River on May 28, 1957, he was the son of Marsha (Byron) Yarnell of Godfrey and the late Charles Yarnell.
He had been a mechanic for Brown Tire and Auto in Wood River for 35 years after having graduated from Bailey Technical School in St. Louis.
A member of Holy Angels Parish, Jeff was an avid Blues hockey fan and enjoyed trout fishing and camping. He enjoyed motorcycle riding as well as listening and playing music.
In addition to his mother, surviving are a sister, Jackie (Tom) Hendricks of Rosewood Heights; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
His father and brother, Brock Yarnell, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Friday, March 2 at Holy Angels Parish Church in Wood River. Father Donald Wolford will be celebrant.
Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent dePaul Society.
