CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI - Mary Ella Jackson, 86, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Sunday, February 7, 2016, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
She was born May 6, 1929 in Alton, Illinois to Louis and Katherine Shandrow.
She and Everett Jackson were married in August of 1947. He preceded her in death in July of 1979.
Survivors include three sons, David (Kathleen) Jackson of Jackson, Missouri, Jerry (Karen) Jackson of San Antonio, Texas, Michael Jackson of Decatur, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Michelle Parker, Leah (Jeff) Shaw, Matthew (Sherri) Jackson, Nathan (Stacy) Jackson, Emily (Philip) Cottrell, Caleb (Nicki) Jackson, Kylie (Scott) Megrant, Angela Stanfill; 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Cathi Jackson; sisters, Betty Looney and Delores Wahl.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016, at Gent Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016, at Gent Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
